    Course Description: Nursing 112A builds upon the nursing theory and skills learned in Nursing 111. Performance improves after the novice has experience coping with real situations. More sophisticated rules guide the student as they focus on the childbearing family. The advanced beginner is encouraged to consider more objective facts as they concentrate on wellness in addition to psychosocial needs. The nursing process is used to assist families to an optimal level of wellness. Communication skills are demonstrated through purposeful interactions and principles of health teaching are put into practice. 

    Students will also receive a full campus tour, including the the residence hall (East Hall) and other student life areas. Please note, this is a group visit and will include other student visitors.
