Nursing A.A.S. Application Instructions & Supplemental Application

Please note, the Fall 2024 Nursing Application is now closed. All applications at this time will be reviewed for Fall 2025 admission.

Getting Started

Current Jefferson students (enrolled in the current semester) do not need to complete the Jefferson Free Application for Admission unless you are graduating from your current degree program. Please contact admissions@sunyjefferson.edu if you are unsure if you need to reapply to the college. Current students can proceed with the Nursing AAS Supplemental Application Instructions below.

Returning Jefferson students must call Enrollment Services, (315)786-2437, to determine status of current matriculation. New and returning student documents will be reviewed to determine if college placement (CPT) testing is required. Transfer students may be exempt based on previous credit.

New Jefferson students must:

submit a completed JCC College Application, (available on the JCC website www.sunyjefferson.edu)
provide an official high school transcript, GED test scores and/or college transcripts. Please forward official transcripts directly to: SUNY Jefferson Enrollment Services 1220 Coffeen St. Watertown, NY 13601 (315)786-2437.
- Applications for admission to the Nursing Program will not be considered until all official transcripts and documentation are on file with Enrollment Services. Unofficial transcripts are not evaluated for transfer credits.
complete placement testing (if required for JCC admission), this should be completed prior to supplemental nursing application submission. The applicant may be exempt from placement testing if Enrollment Services is provided evidence of successful completion of a college math and/or English class or College Board scores. - Please visit www.sunviefferson.edu/placementtesting to schedule an appointment online. If you live 50 miles or more from Jefferson and would like to complete your placement test at a location closer to you, please send an email to thetestingcenter@sunyiefferson.edu or call (315)755-0300.

Nursing AAS Supplemental Application Instructions

The following are required for the Nursing A.A.S. Supplemental Application to be complete and to be eligible for review. The Nursing Admissions Committee will notify all applicants, in writing, of application decisions.
1. Meet the Subject Area Requirements for Admission.
2. Complete and submit this Supplemental Application for Nursing by January 31. All applications received after this date will be reviewed following the on time applications and remain active until the start of the Fall cohort semester.

Readmission to the Nursing AAS Program
Students applying for readmission to the program must meet all pre-requisite requirements. The student must submit a Nursing A.A.S. Supplemental Application by the deadline date, a letter describing what they will do/have done to be successful in this attempt, a recommendation letter from a faculty member, and have a minimum GPA of 2.0.
